Owl’s Head, Maine

Something about the clouds, the fog rolling in on the water and this quiet road in Mid-Coast Maine

By default most of us would agree that landscapes just have an almost universal appeal to them. Whether half way around the world or maybe just in our backyard, there is a reason why these images decorate our desktop backgrounds, our search engine home pages, and our smart tv’s inactive screen.

We escape. We escape to far off lands, or into our imagination, or to memories and nostalgia. It instills a desire to be free from the mundane, to roam and discover. To explore and capture the beauty for ourselves. It has the power to make us feel as big as life itself, or as small as the tiniest molecule, sometimes both at the same time.

Whatever the reason, that sensation and experiences is something that many of us can share with one another.
